Warley hospital

We chose to use the Warley mental hospital as the setting for our media film opening because, the film we had most ideas about would accompany this type of scenery perfectly. We wanted to have the run down look and abandoned feeling to make our film seem a bit scarier. The place we are going also has many different rooms which would allow us to spread our film opening out, so it isn't all placed in one room. The setting will also be dark, which will also help us get our film genre more easily identified. 

we also have another possible location for our film opening and that is a church in Brentwood. We thought that the church has similar features to the abandoned hospital because they both look very castle like and are both very large. By using a church it would also make our film seem a bit more realistic because the church is still used by everyday people. Churches are also very quite and empty places, so this will allow us to create real tension for the viewer to make our film opening have that horror edge to it.
